Star cake and christmas tree cake

Hello everyone, I just wanted to add some more pictures of cakes that I have made. The star one is just a sample cake made with left over fondant. It did turn out really cute though.
The other one is a Christmas cake that I made for our party. It was a two layer cake with buttercream and colored fondant. I traced the big tree out and used cookie cutters for the smaller shapes. It was very cute.
I am very willing to take any dessert orders you may have. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Oreo cake and Biscotti

These are the biscotti that I wrote about a few days ago. They turned out great according to my husband. He says they are just the right consistency for biscotti and are good in coffee. They are chocolate chip brownie with almonds. I thought they are good also even though I don't like coffee.
The other picture is my Oreo cake. It is made with a two layer chocolate cake and the filling is cream cheese, whipped topping, and organic Oreo's. I make the whipped topping and use all natural and organic ingredients. The cakes are 9 inch rounds. and I sell this cake for $35.00. It turns out to be a big cake and very rich even though there is no frosting on it. It is very yummy and it looks like a big Oreo.

Dice cake

I just finished this cake today and had to get it on the website. It turned out great and I am very excited about it. The customer wanted a dice theme. The dice and the black circle are made with gum paste. They turned out great, they look like real dice. The cake itself is a two layer 8 x 8 inch marble square cake with buttercream frosting and buttercream fondant covering the cake.
I searched the web trying to figure out how to make true black and red fondant. These are extremely difficult colors to get. Anyway, with a lot of coloring, I finally got the red to look red. I got a hint from google for the black. Someone said to start with chocolate fondant. That is what I did and it worked. Anyway, I hope you enjoy looking. Have a great day

Trying out new recipes

Hello everyone.

I am currently working on a dice theme cake. I can't wait to finish it because it has turned out so cool so far. I will get pictures of it up on the site as soon as I can. It is my first real theme cake. Not to fancy, but it looks cool.

I am also trying out new recipes. I made chocolate fondant today and it is delicious. My husband says it takes like tootsie rolls. I tend to agree. Anyway, it it a good way to make a good color black.

I also made brownie biscotti. I am not sure how they are yet. They are still baking at the moment, but they look good and the dough tasted good. I will get pictures up as soon as I can.

Remember, I can make just about anything. I love to try different recipes. So if there is some dessert you are looking for, just let me know, I probably have the recipe for it.

Thanks

Valentine's Cakes

These are two of my latest cakes that I made. The one of the left was my first cake to be purchased. I loved this cake. It was very simple, but very cute. It is a 2 layer heart shaped, chocolate cake, filled and covered with buttercream frosting and then covered with pink fondant. Then it has pink and red hearts on it with the names on gum paste. It just turned out very cute, I thought.
The other Valentine's cake was made for my daughters class, so it was kind of big. It had to serve 35 kids. It was a 9 x 13 base cake and a single layer heart shaped cake on the top. My 10 year old daughter was the one that came up with the design and the colors. She did a good job. The bottom is covered in red fondant although it looks pink and the heart is covered in pink. We accented with pink, red, white, and blue. It was very cute and the teacher and the class mates loved to.
I am trying to venture out into harder designs now that I have been working with cakes and fondant. I have some upcoming cakes that are going to be very cute. I can't wait to make them. I hope you have enjoyed the pictures so far, I have more to put on soon.

Cheesecake and sample cake

Hello everyone. Today I am adding two more pictures of desserts that can be purchased from Deshay's. The first one is a sample of a cake that can be made in any size. It is a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting and then covered with white fondant. I then hand designed the cake using chocolate buttercream frosting and accented it with Whoppers. It turned out very cute.
The other cake is a turtle cheesecake. I actually have two different turtle cheesecake recipes and this one turns out to be a little bigger that the other one. It is make with a organic Oreo crust, topped with mini chocolate chips, nuts, and chocolate syrup. There may be some caramel in there too. It is very good and can feed around 16 people. Like I said, I do have other cheesecake recipes, including a different turtle cheesecake, regular cheesecake, white chocolate, Oreo, and more. If you are interested in any of the cakes you have seen let me know.
I do deliver whatever you order, usually free of charge. I will make and deliver for most of lower half of Michigan. If it is longer that 1.5 hours from my house, I would have to charge a delivery fee. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested, but live a distance from Goodrich. We could work out a way to meet in the middle if that's possible.

Cakes and cookies (cherry chip and samples)

I just wanted to post a few different things that can be made for your special occasion. If you have to make treats for a party or for an occasion at church or at school, I can do that. Cookies are great for school functions, and all my cookies are made to order with all the good ingredients. I can make just about any variety of cookie. The one shown in the picture above are my sons favorite. They are chocolate with peanut butter centers. They are awesome and just melt in your mouth. So if you are in need of bake goods and want good quality, Deshay's has what you are looking for.
As far as the cakes pictured, the one is just seven little cakes put together to show a sample of what I can accomplish. They were all chocolate cakes covered with buttercream frosting and then covered with fondant. I got the most response about the Jeep one, but I think that was because my husband took it to work at Chrysler!!!
The other cake was a 6 inch cherry chip cake. I had left over batter and wanted to try the design technique. It turned out very nice. It is covered with buttercream frosting and then fondant. The design is made with buttercream frosting and accented with sour cherry candies.
I have just completed two cakes this week and will try to get them on here soon. One was a fondant heart shaped cake and the other was an Oreo Cake. Please keep coming back often, as I try and get more pictures up when I can. Thanks

Truffles

The truffles in the picture are peanut butter balls, cookie dough, and Oreo. This is just a sample of the many that I have made. There are also pretzel truffles, fudge bonbons, chocolate peanut butter, and chocolate berry truffles.
Truffles are a great dessert for any party or get together and also make great gift giveaways. There are many different varieties to make and to dip and roll them in. If you are interested, just email and I would be happy to discuss them.
Along with all the desserts I make, these are also made with no hydrogenated oils or high fructose corn syrup. This means that I use all natural and/or organic ingredients. Any dessert with peanut butter uses organic, anything with oreos, I use organic, and anything with chocolate usually is semi sweet to dark, so that there are no additives. I strive to make my desserts as healthy for you as possible. Please remember that as the price sometimes reflects the quality you will be getting.

First Cake (white with dots)

This is the very first fondant cake I ever made. It was a yellow cake made from scratch. The fondant is also made from scratch. Both were made with all natural ingredients.
It is a double layer 8 inch cake, made with buttercream frosting and colored dots. This type of cake would serve between 10 to 14 people.

New Business

Hi
My name is Sharon Davenport. I have decided to start a new business, creating and selling desserts. I have been making many kinds of desserts for years and everyone has always told me that I should start a business selling my creations. In the days and weeks to come, I will be posting pictures and descriptions of the desserts. I specialize in cookies, fondant cakes, cheese cakes, and truffles. I can pretty much make any desserts and love the opportunity to try anything.

My hope is that I can create a great dessert, designed specifically for you and make it the best quality and the best tasting.
